This week, I will be going down to Pueblo on a friends boat and I am looking to try some vertical jigging action with this lure to get into some of them "slab" wipers. My favorite spoon design has always been the krocodile (especially for shorty barracuda in cali) but the kastmaster design compells fish to hit it. I have also caught a mess of pike (small ones only) on this lure. I cast, let flutter to the bottom, give it a quick pop off the bottom before retrieving, and then a steady medium-fast retreive. Catamount on the silver/blue stripe lure. In particular, I caught my first laker here at N. I started fishing with it last year and have done really well with it! The 1/4 oz spoon on 4 lb test attached to a Shakespere 7' light action rod (not the uglystick although I use those too) has produced a lot of nice fish.
